Belmont and Seattle to play for 2K Classic Subregional Title
HBU and Detroit mercy to play in consolation match

Seattle and Belmont advanced to the title game of the Subregional Rounds of the 2K Classic benefiting Wounded Warrior Project in Nashville.
Seattle opened the day by shooting the lights out in outscoring Detroit Mercy 102-71. The Redhawks were 32-of-54 (.593) from the field and even better from behind the arc, going 15-of-23 (.652) on the day. They didn’t miss much at the foul line either, converting 23-of-28 (.821).
Matej Kavas led all scorers with 27 points with Jordan Hill posting 17 points and seven rebounds. Both Josh Hearlihy and Aaron Menzies scored 16 points, Hearlihy adding seven assists and Menzies pulling down 10 rebounds.
Corey Allen led Detroit Mercy with 18 points while Josh McFolley had 13 points and Jermaine Jackson Jr. scored 12 points.
As a team, the Titans were held to just 24-of-62 (.387) shooting from the floor and 3-of-16 (.188) from three.
Belmont reached the title game by outlasting Houston Baptist, 93-88.
The Bruins led by as many as 27 points, holding a 69-42 lead with 15:07 to play in the second half. It was then that HBU mounted a comeback that brought the Huskies to a tie as late as 4:29 at 78-78. However, HBU could never get the lead and Belmont held on.
Kevin McClain led the Bruins with 27 points while Dylan Windler put up 23 points and 14 rebounds. Amanze Egekeze tallied 17 points and Caleb Hollander added 11 points.
HBU was led by Ian DuBose and his 19 points. David Caraher netted 17 points, Josh Ibarra had 15 points and 12 rebounds, and Jalen Gates scored 15 points.
Belmont and Seattle will meet for the title on Sunday in a 2:00pm (ET) tip. The game will be followed by the Detroit Mercy-Houston Baptist consolation tilt.
